CULTURE PAGE
Hello again my friends đź’–!! In this part of my blog, I’m going to show you a Peruvian traditional dish. As we know, Peru has many kinds of traditional dishes around all regions in our country. For that reason, it is nothing new that it's considered the best culinary destination in the world.
So, I am going to introduce you a typical coast traditional dish. It is “AjĂ de Gallina”, it is very popular in Peru, everyone loves this dish, which consists of a chili pepper or thick cream with frayed chicken breast. You must know that it is easy to prepare it. What do you need?
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 chicken or
chicken breasts
- 2 Peruvian
yellow peppers. (or also ground yellow)
- 3 garlic
cloves.
- 1 onion.
- 1 cup of
evaporated milk, or a cup of chicken broth with a tablespoon of flour.
- 3 boiled eggs
cut into slices.
- 2 tbsp. of
Parmesan cheese.
- 3 soda
crackers or slices of bread.
- Black olives.
- Salt
- Pepper.
PREPARATION:
1. Boil the breasts in a pot without adding salt, at the end of cooking, save the broth and let the breast rest to later fray it. About 15-25 minutes. When the breast turns white it is done. The smaller the chunks, the faster they will be made.
· 2. In a blender, we will pour the
evaporated milk or the chicken broth with a tablespoon of flour. We will also
add the chopped or ground chili pepper, the soda crackers or sliced bread,
and the Parmesan cheese.
· 3. Heat a skillet over medium low
heat and fry the onions with the chopped garlic. (We can cut the onions in
julienne or dices). Wait until the onion is soft, add the chili cream. We will
let everything cook for about five more minutes and correct the flavor with
salt and pepper to taste.
· 4. Now we will add the frayed
breast and let it cook for about ten minutes in the chili cream. If the
consistency is too thick for our taste, we can add milk or chicken broth.
· 5. We will cook the potatoes in
plenty of salted water until they are tender. We will also cook the eggs in
boiling water until hard.
· 6. We will cut the potatoes into slices and place them on a plate, pour the chili pepper on top and decorate with half a boiled or hard-boiled egg and black olives.
That's all, you don't need to be a master chef to prepare this delicious and tasty dish. Enjoy it with friends and family.
MY EATING HABITS
I am a person
who always have tried to balance the food every day. For example, in the
mornings, I usually eat two eggs, a glass of milk, a piece of cheese and
sometimes I eat a sandwich. Also, I like cereal with yogurt. In the afternoons, I eat fish, chicken, and
meat, also, rice is essential for every kind of food. At nights, I always eat a
light dinner, it could be some tea with toasted bread, or just a salad or
fruit.
